Number of discs: 1

The magic of Gypsy music.
They say it is ancient, sensuous, deep, enchanting and beautiful.
In their case – elegantly blended with funk, jazz and progressive rock.
Their process of making music is instinctive, speechless, off a glance.
Open minds, emotional brightness and virtuosity are the main ingredients of their style. This is a brand new start for them and something they have never felt or experienced before. Within only a few months of their gathering, CMF created and recorded more than 15 compositions. They include ten of them in their first album ‘OUROBOROS’.

Eva Perchemlieva – vocal & percussion
Angel Demirev – guitar
Petar Milanov – guitar
Christo Minchev – bass guitar
Kiril Dobrev – drums

All songs except 3 and 10, are composed and arranged by Cinga Manga Funk.

Lyrics in English

1. I WANT YOU

My beloved, I wait for you all night!
Where are you? I’m dying!
I’m burning up!…

Come to me
take the fire from my lips
and warm up my tortured soul

Steal me and I‘ll be yours forever.
Run away with me and I will be your slave.
I want you, my love.
You will be mine!

Lyrics by Eva Perchemlieva

2. HOPELESS LOVE

I want to wrap you in my soul
so that I’ll always know
that when you cry, it’ll give you comfort.
When you wanna hide it’ll be your shelter.
When the hunger burns inside
it will cool you down.

Lyrics by Eva Perchemlieva
eng. trnsl. Ivo Ivanov – The Teacher

3. ERDELEZI

All my friends dance the oro
Dance the oro, they make the day

All the Roma, dad, sacrifice sheep
But me, poor drummer,
I must stay away

A Romany day, our day
Our day, Erdelezi

Ah, mummy…

All the Roma, mummy
All the Roma, daddy
All the Roma, o mummy
All the Roma, daddy
Erdelezi, Erdelezi
All the Roma, mummy

Lyrics – Folklore

4. ALONE

I’m alone,
you do not talk.
I can see in your eyes
that you are not happy.

Who filled your eyes with tears?
Tell me and I’ll murder him!

When I see you sad,
My heart is crying.
I want to hug you,
but I know I shouldn’t.

I close my eyes and our hearts beating as one.
I want you, my love!
I want you! Only for me!

Lyrics by Eva Perchemlieva

5. SHUKAR DEVLA

I have a beautiful girl.
She walks after me.
What to think, Lord?!
I can’t live without her

Lyrics by Angel Demirev

6. BRAVE

I raise my hands up – they are blue and swollen,
My knees are muddy,
I’ve fallen down.
I raise my hands up – bruised and bleeding,
And I am knee deep in the mud.
I’ve fallen down

I soar up high in the air – and I proudly hold up my head.
They made me stumble but I’ll get back on my feet again.
Let bygones be bygones.
I hold no grudges against no one.
I’m looking forward to a better day,
when with the winds I’ll fly away.

Lyrics by Tossen Ramar
eng. trnsl. Ivo Ivanov – The Teacher

8. YIN&YANG

Black and white, souls in their flight
They float above the same roaring river
Sometimes in the dark they unite
Sometimes they’re as white as the winter
Whenever they blend on the way,
They form the new colors of night
They’re crossing the borders of space
And casting the blankets of light

Lyrics by Eva Perchemlieva
eng. adapt. Vladdi Mihailov

9. OUROBOROS

Under big stars
among white flowers
in a small clearing
in an age-old forest
in a secret place
I kindle the embers.
I dance around the fire.
From within my soul I utter words of magic.
Enchanted words-
I learned from my ancestors.
I raise my voice to Heaven
to make it hear the ancient spells
and bring healing to the sick.
Open the hearts of the rich
and give bread to the hungry.
Remember the lonely
and bring luck to everyone.
Hey romalen, hey men,
I make a spell and I have knowledge.
Hey brethren,
I am looking forward to a better life!
Where everyone is ready to give a helping hand along the road.
I make a spell
and you repeat those words my friend:
“Kindness to become our Master!
The Evil be blown away
and berried six feet under.
Better days are ahead of us.
Let us not kneel before the gold.
Let us proudly hold our heads
and give love and wisdom to our kids.
We take nothing with us when we die.
Hey romalen, hey men,
I make a spell and I have knowledge.
Hey brethren,
I am looking forward to a better life!

Lyrics by Thossen Ramar
eng. trnsl. Ivo Ivanov – The Teacher

10. GELEM GELEM

I went, I went on long roads
I wandered with happy Roma

I went, I went on long roads
And I wandered with poor Roma

O Roma, O Romani youths!

I love her black eyes
I want them like dark grapes
